There are many beautiful beaches and coves to discover around Mallorca and the area is a golfers paradise due to the mild weather of the island. The centre of Santa Ponsa is a short walk, with its golden sandy beach, variety of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops. A walkway (paseo) has been built all around the bay for strolling in the cool of the evening.Puerto Portals, with its chic marina used by the Spanish royals, is a 10 minutes drive and is the ideal place to relax and unwind. Santa Ponsa also has a Marina with a cross to commemorate the removal of the Moors by King Jaime 1 in 1291. Another small sandy beach can be found close by, which is frequently by the locals. Within a 5 minutes drive there are all the main family attractions such as Western Water Park, Pirates Adventure, Aqualand, Nemo Submarine, Golf Fantasia in Palma Nova and bowling and shopping at Festival Park just north of Palma.
