Illetes - Illetas
Illetes or Illetas is a gem of a place near to Palma
which won a "best beach" award
from the Times Travel section in the recent couple of years.
There are three beach areas, one in the small residential bay
which is a good morning beach, another
down some paths vegetated by pines
in the spirit of Cap D'Antibes in the South of France and another which presents a wonderful prospect in the evening.
One can see miles across the bay of Palma and small islands look inviting
The main bay has a high density of apartments clinging to the hill but there is a lot of greenery and the bus service along the coast here from Palma to Palma Nova
