Pork is a main ingredient of the Majorcan gastronomy and the base for the widely known, delicious sobrasada. The Majorcan frit, made of lamb, is also a typical dish worth trying. The caldereta (fish stew), rice with fish and especially the Majorcan prawn stand out among the island’s seafood. And when it comes to desserts, the sospiros (meringues) and the pastís de pobre are the most sought after.
